John(Jingyuan) Li

Jingyuan (John) Li is a composer for film, television, and interactive media. Drawing from both Eastern and Western musical traditions, his work weaves together cinematic orchestration, ambient textures, and modern sound design to support a wide range of narrative forms.​

Graduated from Columbia College Chicago in 2024 he moved to Los Angeles to further pursue his career in music for film/tv/games. His recent credits include Torchlight: Infinite, working closely with X.D. Entertainment Shanghai, where he contributed extensively as an additional composer. He also worked on the second season of Netflix’s Castlevania: Nocturne as a sound designer and music editor under composer Trey Toy, and alongside music editor Shie Rozow.​

Jingyuan joined SlurME, a Los Angeles–based audio production company specializing in music for film and games, as an in-house composer. The company maintains close relationships with major Chinese studios such as Tencent and NetEase, and has produced music for several mainstream mobile and PC titles including Conqueror’s Blade and Honor of Kings. Jingyuan also worked extensively with Score Addiction (represented by BMG) across multiple music catalogs. His work has also been featured in BBC Channel 5’s Yorkshire: Great and Small and Under Investigation, with British composer Tom Howe.​

In 2024, he was selected as a conducting fellow at the Los Angeles Film Conducting Workshop (LAFCI), leading live recording sessions at Warner Bros.' iconic Eastwood Scoring Stage—an honor previously granted to composers such as Ludwig Göransson and Jeff Russo. That same year, his original composition Amidst the Storm won the Golden Prize at the Bizet International Music Competition.

With a background in band music (formerly signed to Shengjian Records with Inujima) and a portfolio spanning indie cinema to large-scale game productions, Jingyuan brings a quiet intensity and sensitivity to each project—and continues to seek meaningful, story-driven musical collaborations.
